Rajitha De Silva

With more than 20 years of experience, Rajitha is an enthusiastic music educator committed to motivating students of all ages. Rajitha, a renowned pianist and organist, graduated with an Associate Diploma in Recital in Solo Piano from Trinity College London in 2007. She received the second-highest grade in the nation and was recognized as a prize winner with distinction.

From the age of 17 until 2023, she was also her church’s principal organist. Rajitha believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of music. Her approach to education places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive atmosphere that fosters creativity. She encourages her pupils to experiment with a variety of musical genres, emphasizing the development of both technical proficiency and artistic expression.

In addition to being a teacher, Rajitha is an active member of her community, having sang in choirs and judged a number of musical competitions. Her goal is to ensure that each student not only learns but also loves the process of making music.
