Musical Theatre Auditions
We’ll assist you with all aspects of preparing for your singing audition, including repertoire selection, relaxation methods, and all the tricks of the trade to enable you to perform your best.
When you sing, you have to own the situation, add drama, and interpret the music. We’ll build on your strong vocal technique, assist you in expanding your vocal range, and customize your lessons to showcase your best qualities.
Audition coaching can be just a few lessons or long-term depending on your readiness and confidence.


High School Performing Arts Programs
Cawthra Park Secondary School & Iona Catholic Secondary School
Cawthra Park Secondary School (Regional Arts Program) and Iona Catholic Secondary School (Arts and Culture Program) provide distinctive performing arts programs. Students at these schools have a unique opportunity to perform, hone their skills, and explore their creativity.
Students applying to the music programs audition in their chosen instrument, plus write a theory test. The arts programs are popular and competition is fierce so early preparation is recommended. Over the last 30 years many of our students have successfully auditions and attended these high schools. You can too!

Essentially, your audition serves as a platform for you to present your musical and technical skills in a variety of styles. You’ll may be asked to do a quick interview, and write a theory exam. You should get in touch with the college or university to find out the precise audition requirements for each instrument, and start preparing well in advance.

Musical Theatre Workshops
Listen, watch, and learn from others
Our workshop is an excellent way for each vocalist to hear, watch, and pick up knowledge from others. Workshops are offered in small groups of 5 – 7 students with an expert teacher in musical theatre. Workshops are offered before festivals, competitions, and recitals.
Workshop topics will include:
- an analysis of the song’s lyrics & interpretation
- stage movement and blocking
- creating a clear, strong and impressive performance
- tools for creating character and situation
- costuming
- learn to how to engage the audience and tell the story
